Terms of Use
1. The service
Novara is an educational app that teaches financial literacy to children, teens and families. The app is free to download and use. It offers one optional one-time in-app purchase that permanently unlocks all chapters. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal.
2. Purchases, billing and refunds (Apple)
The in-app purchase is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple is the merchant of record: billing, receipts and refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple's Ask to Buy and Family Sharing parental controls let a parent approve or share a child's purchase.
3. Restore Purchases
The unlock is a non-consumable purchase. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Settings → Restore Purchases to restore it at no additional cost, using the same Apple Account.
4. Who may use the app
The account holder and purchaser must be an adult (18 or older). Children use profiles created and managed by their parent or guardian. A person creating an individual account for themselves must be at least 13 years old; a child under 13 must use a parent-managed profile.
5. License and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your family's own learning. You agree not to copy, resell, reverse-engineer or misuse the app or its content. All content and software remain the property of the provider or its licensors.
6. Educational only — not financial advice
The app is for education. It does not provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice and makes no recommendation. See the disclaimer.
7. Warranty and liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes anything that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including your statutory consumer rights, or liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, our liability is limited to a reasonable amount and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; a purchase you have already made keeps the terms in force when you made it. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms; silence alone is not acceptance of a material change that disadvantages you.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the provider's home jurisdiction (Germany), without depriving you of the mandatory consumer protections of your US home state. Apple's own terms apply to Apple as merchant of record for your purchase. You keep any local mandatory rights.
