Educational content only — not financial, investment, tax or legal advice

The app "Novara" provides general financial education for children, teenagers and families. Its content is for educational and informational purposes only and is expressly not financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

The content is addressed to the general public. It is not based on any individual's circumstances and makes no personal recommendation about any specific financial product or transaction. It is not a personal recommendation regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Not a financial promotion; no regulated activity

The provider carries on no regulated activity under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA 2000): it does not advise on, arrange, deal in or manage investments, and holds no client money. It is not authorised or regulated by the FCA.

The content is not a financial promotion under section 21 of FSMA 2000. Where asset classes, products, indices or examples are mentioned (for example ISAs, savings accounts, Premium Bonds, shares, funds, ETFs, gilts, bonds or crypto-assets), this is purely for illustration — not a recommendation or an invitation to buy, hold or sell.

No intermediation or product recommendation

The app does not arrange or broker any financial product and does not put you in contact with providers of such products. No account or contract is opened, and no money is received, placed or managed. The provider receives no commission from product providers; the app contains no advertising and no affiliate links.

Risk warning

Investments carry risk and can fall as well as rise; you may get back less than you put in, and with some investments — in particular speculative ones such as crypto-assets — you can lose all your capital. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The figures, interest rates, tax rates and worked examples in the app are simplified snapshots for teaching and may change.

Note for children, teenagers and parents

The app is a learning tool, not a tool for making real financial decisions. No real money is handled; all examples and scores are simulated. Children and teenagers should discuss money, saving and investing with their parents or guardians, who remain responsible for the children's use of the app. A child under 18 can enter into a contract only within the limits of their capacity and, as a rule, with their guardian's agreement.

No warranty on content

We aim to keep the content current, accurate and complete, but give no guarantee as to its accuracy, completeness, timeliness or continued availability. Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including as to digital content of satisfactory quality) are not affected.

Scope of liability

The provider accepts no liability for decisions taken on the basis of the content, subject to the limits set out in section 10 of the Terms of Use. Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and for the statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that cannot be excluded, is not limited or excluded in any way.

Regional scope

The content refers to the United Kingdom financial, tax and legal system and is not necessarily transferable to other jurisdictions. Some rules (for example income tax bands and student finance) differ between England, Wales and Northern Ireland on the one hand and Scotland on the other. Amounts and thresholds can change, in particular from year to year.

Consumer information and guidance

Free, impartial money guidance is available from MoneyHelper (moneyhelper.org.uk) and Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk). The FCA (fca.org.uk) regulates financial services firms; complaints about a regulated firm can be taken to the Financial Ombudsman Service if the firm cannot resolve them.
